Geology --> Jewelry

Designer Erika Young draws inspiration from the natural world and her background in geology to showcase rocks, minerals, and seaside finds in a way that is rough, yet refined.  She uses a process called electroforming, which allows copper to slowly grow over each piece, creating a bubbly, organic texture and a raw, unearthed feel. Some finished pieces are left in their pure copper state, while others go on to be plated in thick layers of sterling silver and 14k gold. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand in Newport, RI,
